DIVERSE LOCATION SHOOTING
When not shooting on our sound stage and outdoor backlot, Mercury Pictures continues to shoot on all manner of locations from Malibu mansions to Irish villages, European castles, metropolitan skylines, inside submarines, and World War II Bombers. Our full lighting, camera, and grip inventories travel with us to facilitate operations at almost any conceivable location with our own in house support services, including dozens of productions to date.





THE GREAT ALASKAN RACE
On the Mercury Pictures sound stage, making full use of our large green screen cyc. These additional elements were used to enhance scenes shot weeks before in the great American wilderness. Additional characters were outfitted in period costumes from our own inventory and lit to match pre-shot plates and then composited.




ON SET OF 'THE LAUNDRESS'
Peter White, Mercury Pictures' Head of Post supervised production for the second shooting block of 'The Laundress' in Los Angeles, California. Numerous critical elements and additional scenes were required for the successful completion of the film and were achieved in record time!





DOCTOR WHO DIRECTOR, WARIS HUSSEIN DIRECTS POLITICAL SATIRE
Waris Hussein, director of the very first episodes of Doctor Who directed test scenes for the upcoming political satire 'Blair House' set in Washington DC, the residence for visiting foreign heads of state to the White House. The cast includes Oscar Nominated star Sarah Miles, and Emmy Nominees Eric Braeden and Robert Picardo leading a fabulous celebrity cast.

CINEMAGIC AT MERCURY
Nine young Cinemagic ambassadors from Northern Ireland take part in the Cinemagic Film and Television Festival for Young People in Los Angeles participated in an exciting, jam-packed program of masterclasses, studio tours, screenings, presentations and film camps with representatives from the world’s biggest film and television studios. These include FOX, HBO, Sony, Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, CBS, Warner Bros. Studio Tour Hollywood, New York Film Academy, Jim Henson Company, Remote Control Studios, Ross King MBE (a Cinemagic LA Board Member), director James Foley, award-winning producer Francis O’Toole, American actor Robert Picardio (STAR TREK),
